The Red Hot Chili Peppers began as a couple of high school friends jamming in Southern California that would go on to become a globally recognizable band with over 80 million albums sold worldwide. Their breakout album, 1991’s Blood Sugar Sex Magik, produced hits like the soulful “Under The Bridge,” funky “Give It Away” and “Breaking The Girl.” They skyrocketed into stardom from there.
Frontman Anthony Kiedis designed the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ iconic asterisk logo in the early ’80s at the request of their record label, settling on the now-iconic asterisk design. The logo was a random sketch from Kiedis, which has since been associated with the “Star of Affinity” meaning chaos. They’ve used the asterisk in numerous artful variations since, and this tour duct tape and sharpie variant are one of our favorites in their collection.(There are 8 other products in the same category)
